Christopher M. Chiafullo is the founding principal of The Chiafullo Group, known by his fellow attorneys, clients, and peers for his engaging, personable, and effective style. Mr. Chiafullo has diverse areas of expertise, running the gamut from litigation to transactional matters. Experienced in appellate and trial matters, Mr. Chiafullo notably served on the trial team for a sizeable defendant constituency in NAACP v. AcuSport, a suit named by the National Law Journal as one of the ten most significant defense verdicts of 2003. Among his other daily duties and details, Mr. Chiafullo continues his advocacy as counsel of record in City of New York v. Beretta, the third in a series of New York federal suits seeking wide-sweeping reform and injunctive relief. Under his direction, the Chiafullo Group serves as Outside General Counsel and Special Counsel to varied companies and trade organizations across the United States. He is admitted to practice law throughout the state courts of New Jersey, and in the Federal Districts of New Jersey, as well as the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
An alumnus of the Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Chiafullo was the Student Speaker for the Commencement Ceremonies, and was the co-founder and CEO of the Seton Hall Law School Business Law Society. As a staff member of the Seton Hall Journal of Sports Law, Mr. Chiafullo authored the published article From Personal Foul to Personal Attack: How Professional Sports Officials are the Target of Abuse from Players, Coaches and Fans Alike, 8 Seton Hall J. Sport L. 201 (1998). He was a recipient of the Seton Hall Centennial Scholarship and the Monmouth County (NJ) Bar Association Scholarship for his scholastic achievements.
Following his graduation from law school, he served as law clerk to Hon. Louis F. Locascio, J.S.C., of the Monmouth County, New Jersey Superior Court. Mr. Chiafullo received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Monmouth University, and his Bachelor of Science Degree from Boston University.
